The manufacturer known already within their industry for providing high quality, market leading bespoke solutions were looking to replace existing steel parts in a machine with several engineering plastic parts.

Regina was challenged with providing a plastic prototype of a bracket which would form part of the fibre reel support assembly and fibre mechanism. An important consideration for the team at Regina was to suggest suitable materials that would be conform to their requirements such as heat, mechanical load and impact conditions and within cost constraints. Several grades of Nylon 6, including a 50% glass fibre filled grade, which provided excellent rigidity with durability.

Following the initial design process on Solidworks CAD system, the Injection mould tooling was produced in house.

Working with the client, Regina was able to meet the client’s expectations thus allowing them to create a sub assembly part and improve their presence in Far East markets.

“We were keen to collaborate with a trusted supplier on this project and Regina delivered several high quality parts to our specification. Our relationship with Regina Industries has grown over the last decade and they continue to be a key supplier.”
